Julius Alcantara named top Men's Basketball Student-Athlete in Northern California

Julius Alcantara named top Men's Basketball Student-Athlete in Northern California

Julius Alcantara was recently named the top men's basketball student-athlete in Northern California by the California Community College Men's Basketball Coaches Association. Julius, out of Serra High School, was an All-Conference selection, while graduating with a 3.94 gpa. Julius signed with Menlo College this spring.

This is the fourth straight season a Skyline player was recognized for this award, making state history. Previous winners were: Colby Vazquez (Mills High School), Noah Haynesworth (Tamalpais High School), and Jacob Salinero (Half Moon Bay High School). Colby is entering his senior season at Jamestown University. Noah recently earned his bachelor's degree from UC Davis. Jacob recently earned his Master's of Business Administration from Sonoma State University.
