Jack Ruegg - Baseball
Jack Ruegg powered the Skyline offense during an outstanding eight day stretch, helping lead the Trojans to a string of key wins while producing one of the most efficient offensive weeks of the season. From the opening game at Marin through the Cabrillo victory, Ruegg consistently delivered in run producing situations and rarely gave away an at bat.
Ruegg began the run on Feb 19 at Marin with a huge performance, going 3 for 4 with 4 RBI, immediately establishing momentum for the lineup. Two days later he followed with another explosive outing in the 16 to 3 win over Marin, finishing 3 for 4 with 5 RBI and two doubles. He kept the pressure on opposing pitchers with a 3 hit game against Gavilan, showed tremendous plate discipline at West Valley by drawing three walks and adding a hit by pitch, and capped the week with a 3 for 4, 3 RBI effort in the 11 to 6 win over Cabrillo.
