Skyline Starts Season with 4 Wins In 5 Games

Skyline College Women's Basketball (4-1) opened the season with back-to-back wins defeating College of Marin and Monterey Peninsula College.  Skyline received contributions from every player on the roster in the first week of the season which helped Skyline control both games.  Sophomore Lala Lautaimi lead the way against Monterey with a 20-point performance. 

Skyline headed to the West LA Tournament over the weekend and dropped their first game of the season to Ventura College 63-55. The Trojans lead 28-20 at the half, paced by Titiana Newsom's and Angela Olive who each had 12 points in the game. 

Skyline bounced back to take the tournament's consolation championship with back to back dominant wins over San Bernadino Valley College 55-30 ( Lala Lautaimi 16 points & Mali Ennis 12 points) and Oxnard College 75-43 (Lala Lautaimi 15 points & Emma Aoki 15 points).

Up Next: Skyline will host back to back home games against College of the Siskiyous on Nov. 18th @ 5pm and Solano College on Nov. 19th @ 6pm.
