The Skyline Badminton team returned to the courts at Fresno City College for their first Coast Conference match since 2019 under new head Kevin Corsiglia. 

Taking over for legendary Skyline badminton coach Jan Fosberg, first year head coach Kevn Corsiglia had nothing but praise for the 2022 team. "Opening up against the defending state champions is never easy, but I was not surprised by the skill and fight every one of our players displayed today." 

With very few students taking on campus classes this past Fall semester, Coach Corsiglia, after 21 season as Skyline's Head Women's Soccer coach, tapped the only resource he had to build this years team. 

"Six of the seven players on this years team are soccer players I recruited to Skyline." he said. "I am very thankful they agreed to join the team. Without them we would not have been able to field a team this Spring."

Skyline has seven players on the 2022 Badminton team. Including Kylie Wilborn, Melanie Garcia, Alaa Hammed, Emily Dubon, Rika Hensley, Fiona O'Donoghue and Gina Dempsey.

The Trojans will host City College of San Francisco on Thursday, March 24th @ 3pm.
