Skyline Picks Up Shutout Win Over #9 De Anza

After an eight game win streak to start the season, the Trojans hit a rough stretch of games in conference and headed into their home game against Coast South leader De Anza College having won just once in their last six Coast Conference contests. De Anza on the other hand had yet to lose a conference match and have been steadily moving up the state rankings, entering Friday's game ranked #9 and riding a 10 game unbeaten streak.

Skyline put together one of their best games the season and shut out the Lions 1-0 for their 10th win of the season. The Trojans improved their conference record to 3-4.

Ayo Pigott scored his first goal of the season in the 20th minute to put the Trojans ahead for good.

Goalkeeper Agustin Duenas kept De Anza off the scoreboard, recording 4 saves and his 3rd shutout of the season.

Up Next: Skyline (10-4-1) will travel to Cabrillo College in Aptos for a 7:30pm game.
