Men's Soccer Scores a Win in Home Opener

After two consecutive road wins the Skyline Men's Soccer team opened at home against Mendocino College. Six different Trojans scored in the game. Skyline scored two goals in the games first 15 minutes. Alexis Villanueva Zavala (Jacob Deinla) opened the scoring in the 2nd minute and Philip Vielsted put the Trojans up 2-0 in the 8th minute.

Skyline added two more goals to close out the first half. Luis Rodriguez (Christopher Ramoth) scored his team leading 3rd goal of the season in the 43 minute and Daniel Santillan (Adan Moreno Valencia) made it 4-0 just before the halftime whistle.

Much like the way they started the game, Skyline scored twice in the opening minutes of the second half. Edgar Munoz tallied in the 47th minute and Adrian Zimmerman (Adan Moreno Valencia) scored his first goal of the season to make the score 6-0.

Goalkeepers Alejandro Sanchez Michel and Diego Ochoa combined to keep Mendocino off the scoreboard and secure Skyline's first shutout of the season.
