Skyline Opens Series Against District Rival CSM With 4-1 Win

Skyline took the first game of a three game series against College of San Mateo with a 4-1 home win. With the win Skyline moved to 22-7 on the season and 7-3 in the Coast Conference North.

Kaito Haake (2-4, 3 RBI) had a productive day at the plate, driving in three runs with two singles after the Trojans loaded the bases in the 1st and 3rd innings. 

Dillon Goetz pitched the first two innings and gave up no hits or runs while striking out 4 CSM batters. 

Benito Valle-Jhanda (W, 6-0) took the mound for the remaining seven innings, holding CSM to just one run on six hits while striking out seven. 

Skyline will travel to CSM for Game #2 on Thursday, April 6th @ 2:30pm, before returning home for the Game #3 on Saturday, April 8th @ 1:00pm.
