SANTA ROSA, CA – The Skyline College Women's Wrestling team delivered an outstanding performance at the tri-meet hosted at Santa Rosa Junior College on March 5, 2025, marking a significant milestone in their inaugural season. The team showcased depth and determination with decisive victories against San Joaquin Delta College and Santa Rosa Junior College, along with a forfeit win over the College of the Redwoods.

In the opening match against San Joaquin Delta College, Skyline claimed a 27-16 win, highlighted by key victories from Arianna McPike at 138 lbs, Jamie Micallef at 160 lbs, and Annette Beltran at 180 lbs. The win set the tone for the evening and boosted the team's confidence.

Building on that momentum, Skyline then faced Santa Rosa Junior College and secured a 34-15 victory. The match featured dominant pins from Alexandra Flood at 117 lbs, Arianna McPike at 138 lbs, and Annette Beltran at 160 lbs, underscoring the team's technical prowess and aggressive style on the mat.

Adding to their impressive night, the team faced the College of the Redwoods, which was forced to forfeit due to an incomplete lineup. This further reinforced Skyline's strong showing at the event.

Reflecting on the night's success, Assistant Coach Sirena Konishi remarked, "Our performance today is a testament to the hard work and resilience of our athletes. The progress we've made since our last tournament in Sacramento City last month is remarkable, and our win tonight sets a perfect tone as we prepare for the State Dual Meet Championships.
