Skyline Battles CCSF in Five Set Thriller

The Skyline Women's Volleyball team was looking for their first win of the season when they hosted San Francisco City College on Wednesday in San Bruno. 

The Trojans won their first two sets of the season, taking an early 2-0 lead over CCSF.  Skyline won the first set 28-26 and the second set 26-24.

Freshman outside hitter Keyahna Lopez led Skyline with a season high 17 kills. Freshman libero Kylie Wilborn had a season high 33 assists on the night. Mia Ledesma (13) and Hazel Vinluan (11) came up with digs that helped Skyline sustain several long rallies. 

The Trojans looked to close out CCSF but fell in the third set 25-14 and dropped the fourth set 25-9. 

In the deciding fifth set Skyline battled but fell 15-9. 

Up Next: Skyline will travel to to Monterey Peninsula College on Friday September 16th for 2pm match.
