
The #11-seeded Skyline Women's Soccer team is advancing to the second round of the 3C2A Northern California Soccer Playoffs. They will face #6-seeded Santa Rosa Junior College (14-5-2) on the road this Saturday, November 23, at 1:00 PM in Santa Rosa.
In the first round, the Trojans battled through driving rain to secure a 2-0 shutout victory over #22-seeded Reedley College, earning the program's first playoff win since 2009. Robyn Shin opened the scoring in the 30th minute with an assist from Samantha Iffla, who then scored in the 45th minute off an assist by Fabiana Bolanos.
Goalkeeper Thaily Anderberg made several key saves to preserve the shutout.
Offensively, Skyline has been led this season by Valerie Latu Nava, who has 12 goals and 3 assists, and Haylee Klingler, who has 10 goals. Anderberg has been outstanding in goal, recording 10 shutouts and boasting a 0.84 goals-against average.
Head Coach Mike Sharabi has guided the Trojans to back-to-back playoff appearances and an impressive 13-4-3 record.
