Trojans Feature a Trio of Pre-Season All-Americans
This week the CCCBCA announced the 2025 Pre-Season All-Americans, which includes three Skyline College Trojans.  Ethan Reader (Infielder), Ethan Casas-Wu (Designated Hitter), and Gabriel Melara (Outfield) were all named to the list that includes 39 players from Northern California.
Ethan Reader, a sophomore shortstop from San Francisco and Stuart Hall High School, played every inning of the 2024 season.  While earning Second Team All-Conference for the Coast North Conference, Ethan accumulated a .364 batting average with 57 runs scored, 51 runs batted in, 23 extra base hits, while stealing 22 bases in 24 attempts.
A sophomore outfielder, Ethan Casas-Wu had an amazing freshman year as the teams designated hitter.  Out of San Mateo and Aragon High School, Ethan batted .326 over 29 games, with 31 runs scored, 37 runs batted in, 15 extra base hits, while stealing all five bases he attempted.  His breakout freshman year earned him Second Team All-Conference honors.  Additionally, Ethan hit the two out walk-off home run to clinch the 2024 Coast North Conference Title.
Gabriel Melara played most of the 2024 season in centerfield for the champion Trojans, earning Second Team All-Conference honors.  A sophomore from San Francisco and Sacred Heart Cathedral High School, Gabriel played in 41 of 44 games, batting .363 with 44 runs scored, 24 runs batted in, 14 extra base hits, and 17 stolen bases.
