Coach Gabe Saucedo is entering his seventh season as head men’s soccer coach. In five years the program has compiled an overall record of 56-44-15. His teams have made two playoff appearances and made the sweet sixteen in each of those years. The program has produced 16 All Conference Players and 1 All American. The program also reached new heights in 2017 by being ranked 18th in the country in the United Soccer Coaches association final poll.

Saucedo arrived at Skyline after spending six seasons serving as the Head Women’s Soccer Coach at City College of San Francisco. In those six seasons his program won six consecutive Coast Conference championships while compiling a conference record of 62 wins, 1 loss, and 14 ties. His teams consistently made deep runs in the playoffs, advancing to the state Sweet 16, Elite 8 and two appearances in the Final 4. The program produced 55 All Coast Conference players, including four Players of the Year. Coach Saucedo was also voted Conference Coach of the Year in 2010 and 2012 and 2015. The program’s impressive overall record (103 wins, 26 losses, and 23 ties) combined with its challenging schedule earned it a national ranking of #6 in 2011, #14 in 2012, and #4 in 2013 by the United Soccer Coaches association. The team produced five All Americans and six All West Region selections as recognized by the United Soccer Coaches association.

Prior to being named head coach of the women’s team in 2009, he spent the 2005-2009 seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the highly successful CCSF men’s soccer team. During those four years, the men’s team posted a record of 51 wins 19 losses and 16 ties. Before joining the CCSF soccer program, Saucedo also coached at St. Ignatius College Preparatory and Loyola High School of Los Angeles.

Coach Saucedo is also entering his third season as the assistant coach for the San Francisco Glens USL 2 team. He has coached several players that have moved on to the professional ranks in the MLS, USL Championship, and various European leagues.

Coach Saucedo grew up in San Francisco and attended St. Ignatius College Preparatory, where he played varsity football, soccer, and baseball. Saucedo went on to earn his undergraduate and graduate degrees at UC Berkeley. One of his best memories while at UC Berkeley is winning the Rugby National Championship four years in a row.
