Jose begins his 7^th year at Skyline College as the Head Athletic Trainer. He is a graduate of San Francisco State University with a degree in Physical Education, emphasis in Pre-Physical Therapy. Jose is certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification.

Jose has established himself as one of many well know and respected athletic trainers within the Community College levels.  Jose’s recognition goes beyond the athletic training room as he is also involved in mentoring young students through an internship program, partnered with San Francisco State University, his alma mater.

Jose’s Career highlights include: City College of San Francisco (22 years as the Head athletic Trainer), The Shriner’s East-West Shrine Game (Head Athletic Trainer for the West Team), MotoGP Championships (Medical Staff at Laguna Seca Raceway), CCSF Judo Tournament, CCCSS Representative for Men’s Basketball, San Jose Saber Cats (Arena Football League), Nike Football Combines, Nike Volleyball Festival, and Adidas Slam-N-Jam.

Jose resides in San Mateo, California with his wife Jeri, son Zach and daughter Alana. In his free time, Jose enjoys family time, playing his many ukuleles, scuba diving, and cheering for the San Francisco Giants and San Jose Sharks.
